Chris Jones
Spent 17 years at JPMorgan running global markets operations across the UK, India, Singapore, Argentina and the US — including five years building the Buenos Aires service centre from under 50 to over 2,000 people. Joined felloh as COO in November 2021.
The full story.
Chris started his career as a Junior Officer in the Royal Engineers, working as an Explosive Ordnance Disposal officer with operational tasks in the UK and unexploded-ordnance / mine clearance in Bosnia. He served in Iraq with the United Nations Special Commission Inspection Team and was awarded the Queen's Commendation for Valuable Service and a United Nations Force Commander's Commendation in 1996 for his work in Bosnia Herzegovina.
After leaving the army he took an eight-month trip across Pakistan, China, Nepal, Thailand, Cambodia, Vietnam, Laos, Burma, Malaysia and Singapore — the start of a long-standing connection with international travel that still shapes how he thinks about the industry today.
Chris spent the next two decades inside global investment banking — first at Citi, then Deutsche Bank, then nearly 18 years at JPMorgan Chase. At JPMorgan he held Executive Director roles in Markets Operations across the UK, India, Singapore and Argentina. From 2015 to 2020 he ran a dual role as local Operations Leader in Buenos Aires and Global Head of FX Back Office — leading a 220-person, $12M-per-year team across six countries processing roughly 500,000 trades a day.
His Buenos Aires assignment was an operational build-out: part of the location leadership team that took the service centre from under 50 people to over 2,000 over five years, with cost reductions typically greater than 50%. Earlier in his JPMorgan career he led an $18M annual reduction in OTC brokerage expenses and ran the global resiliency programme across the Markets Ops model.
Chris joined felloh as Chief Operating Officer in November 2021, bringing two decades of global payments and banking operations experience into travel finance. He runs felloh's day-to-day operating model — acquirer relationships, banking partnerships, financial controls and the operational discipline that lets a small team support 450+ travel businesses.
